[Accidental Video]

[The video starts with Eagle apparently trying to write a journal entry, smiling like he usually does and then... he stops smiling.

He frowns, half glaring at the journal before he throws the pen over the table, pushing himself from the desk.]

What's even the point to all this? Just useless.


[Eagle has been hit by the Bitterness Event so, for the duration of the post, no Mr. Brightside at all.]

[Eagle was still working his shift over the bar when the event hit, so he isnt at the hotels. He doesnt seem to be able to find a candle or something that would give light so, instead, he focuses on the journal.

And then, he starts speaking]

For many of us, this event has happened before, or at least something similar, even if this time, it seems Miracle Country would rather we fend ourselves in terms of light. I have about three dozen candles stocked and I'm more than willing to give them however they are needed: if someone else happens to have some as well and are willing to share please, do let me know. Considering that this time it seems to be possible to actually light and maybe even use magic, I would suggest trying to collect fire to do bonfires and torches, if needed.

However, considering this change, it might prove better to, once again, shelter in fewer rooms as to avoid wasting candles and lightsources. I would also suggest for people to once again carry sunglasses if you have them or scraps of fabric with tears on them to protect your eyes, for when the lights come back.

Please, if possible, gather at the hotel at once, or do let people know where you are. If you don't have the means to light your way back, please, do not attempt to do so on your own: we can't know if the monsters have been allowed to roam free.

Everyone, be as careful as you can.

To everyone who might read this:

On the midst of another of Miracle Country's events, I would require that those of us who know how to fight would organize ourselves, both for the purpose of patroling and, if it ends up being required, hunting monsters.

Likewise, I would ask the people who have any sort of medical training to please be prepared. If there is any need for medicine, I propose a searching party to go towards the hospital, the sooner the better. It would be wise as well for another party to collect as much food as possible.

I don't think it's needed for me to say this, but please, do not leave the premises on your own unless there is no other choice. We can't know how long this--

[Then there's a long scratch. For a few moments there's nothing else and then... some blood splatters on the page.]

[The video is at some sort of a weird angle as Eagle puts three wedding bands on a thin silver chain before he puts it around his neck.

It's another one of those strange moments when you can see that he does, in fact, stop smiling every now and then]

[For those of you who doubted Eagle could stop smiling, here's this surprise!video of him inside his room, Lan sleeping with his head on Eagle's lap. Eagle is most definitely not smiling as he looks outside the window, ignoring the journal]

Patience, wasn't it...?

[Have the audio of a puppy barking =D and then there's Eagle's laughter for a moments before he manages to get back his journal and write]

That, I believe, was Lan saying 'happy new year, everyone!'. A wish tht I most certainly share with him. May all your hopes and dreams come true.

So, if I may be as rude as to ask this so publicly: what kind of hopes and wishes do you have for the next year?

Considering the terrible situation this world has put us through, I would ask that those of us who are not hurt (at least so far) and who would be willing to volunteer gathering bandages, pain killers and to check up on the people who are already suffering from this event. People who already know how to administrate first aids, please, do be as kind as to teach the ones who don't the basics.

To the ones suffering through this situation, I should think it not necessary for me to say please, rest for now, and try not to leave the premises of the hotel, or if you have to, make sure to go with someone uninjured. Foods and drinks rich in protein, vitamin B and C will help with the low blood pressure.

If there is anyway I can be of assistance, please, don't hesitate to inform me.

I was wondering, when should we meet?

If I may have a moment of your time, I would like to address the following matter.

As of now, we are unaware of when [fff can't help but think 'if'] the lights might come back, but after now five days and counting of darkness, our eyes have grown used to the darkness and thus, a sudden light would hurt our eyes terribly.

Thus, I recommend that everyone carries, if possible, sunglasses with them, to try and avoid any lasting hurt when the lights come back. Sunglasses would be ideal, but even a piece of fabric that you can tie around your head with thin slits cut to see through would be of help. If the lights come back and you don't have anything, keep your eyes tightly closed and ask for help through the audio of your journal, so someone can guide you to a dark room where your eyesight can get used again to the light.

I hope I have made myself clear enough, but if there are any questions at all, I'd be happy to try and answer them.

Out of curiousity, and to those who've been in this world for longer than I have...

Would there be any problem if I decide to keep my ring?

[There is a sort of shaky handwritting at first: as if the person writing hadn't done so in a while]

It's quite funny, if I think about it, how I had aleady realized that when I woke up I'd be doing so in an unfamiliar world, but this is really overdoing it--

[Then a pause as he fiddles with his journal for a few moments and then, instead of writing, audio and video]

-- ah. Yes, better. I apologize, it seems I'm a bit rusty on writing, if you can believe it. Or at least, doing so without a keyboard. I really can't remember the last time I did so. Well, I'll probably get used to doing so soon!

I was wondering if anyone would have a map or something similar? It's such a beautiful day that I feel like walking for a bit and stretching my legs.
